FEATURED WINE
The featured Wine Wednesday for August 21st is the Escudo Rojo 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon from Maipo Andes, Chile.
Tasting Notes –
Smell: This wine opens with a captivating bouquet of blackcurrant, ripe cherry, and plum, intertwined with hints of dark chocolate, tobacco, and a touch of smoky oak.
Taste: On the palate, it reveals a rich and full-bodied profile with flavors of juicy blackberries, cassis, and a subtle blend of spices. The firm tannins are well-integrated, leading to a long, smooth finish with notes of cedar and vanilla.
Pair with: It also pairs well with grilled steaks, lamb chops, or a hearty mushroom risotto. For cheese lovers, aged Gouda or Cheddar are excellent choices.
