With Silver Spring being recognized as the top place for families to live\, there’s no better time to come together and celebrate our wonderful community. \nStay connected with us on social media at @thedailydishrestaurant\, or visit us here each week to discover the featured wine and suggested pairings. \n\nFEATURED WINE\n \nThe featured Wine Wednesday for August 21st is the Escudo Rojo 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon from Maipo Andes\, Chile. \nTasting Notes –  \nSmell: This wine opens with a captivating bouquet of blackcurrant\, ripe cherry\, and plum\, intertwined with hints of dark chocolate\, tobacco\, and a touch of smoky oak. \nTaste: On the palate\, it reveals a rich and full-bodied profile with flavors of juicy blackberries\, cassis\, and a subtle blend of spices. The firm tannins are well-integrated\, leading to a long\, smooth finish with notes of cedar and vanilla. \nPair with:  It also pairs well with grilled steaks\, lamb chops\, or a hearty mushroom risotto. For cheese lovers\, aged Gouda or Cheddar are excellent choices. \nThis robust Cabernet Sauvignon pairs beautifully with our Bone-In Pork Chop\, served with sauerkraut\, roasted plums\, and a Dijon herb glaze from the Restaurant Week dinner menu.
